The passionate runners will, without a doubt, find a fruitful terrain in the northwest Istria: all along the year different kinds of lenghts are being runned – from the ones meant for marathons (100 miles of Istria) as well as those for the recreational runners (Umag Night Run).
Also, the track from the west coast up to Savudrija can be (re)visited every day to glory in the wonders of Istrian nature with lungs and hearth pumped with fresh air and exercise. If You are more prone to a lighter kind of activity, You can get into nordic walking and discover the pitoresque Umag area like that or get yourself on two wheels and by filling your nostrils with scents of pinewoods and sea find out why cycling is such a popular thing in Istria. Terrains of professional levels await the enthusiastic future and already trained golfers (Golf Club Adriatic) and for those who are more likely to spectate than participate, ATP Umag is a tennis attraction with a long and enviable reputation which also includes a non-sport, entertainment content.
Music lovers can find their cup of tea at the Sea Star Festival, the music festival with a line-up of international and local stars both while those who like a nice sip of wine or a good bite can not miss on the opportunity to visit one of the many gastronomical events (Tomato Days, Sole Fish Days, Asparagus Days, Open Wine Cellar Days).
Like the different colours of the Croatian territory, the tourist offering reflects the richness and variety in the area where everybody can find something for themselves!
